The Broken Tampon Memorial Fountain
In memory of
victims of toxic shock,
past ,
present and future.
Incorporating
the familar shapes
of tampon,
string, pad and wings;
the latter inscribed
with the
“darling daughters”
of menstrual
product advertising:
protection
and confidence.
MOLT
believes the tampon industry,
and especially
Proctor & Gamble,
should
provide the “no strings attached” funding
for the
memorial and museum
in the
amount of
three
million dollars,
in an act of
corporate atonement
for the
marketplace violence
it perpetuated 25 years ago,
and to some
degree,
still does
today.
