Perplexed? It's understandable...you're just trying to find out what a flofilm is, and already you're being asked to host a Flofilm Festival, along the lines of the fictitious (as yet) First Annual Detroit Flofilm Festival described above.
But...as demonstrated by the sampling of film imagery, there is certainly enough work to “fill the bill” at a festival. (Each image is a link). It's not such a stretch of the imagination, is it, to envision the above in poster format, plastered to a campus kiosk or bulletin board...or used in a commercial for a televised flofilm festival (preferably on Menstrual Monday)...or perhaps intermittently flashing, one by one, in a music video.
Or, perhaps they could be considered a form of menstrual product advertising (the “product” being the film), and would fit nicely into the MOLTXIBIT, “From Protection to Expression: The Future of Menstrual Advertising.”
Below are links explaining a bit more about the flofilm concept. If you're contemplating hosting a flofilm festival (mini or maxi), email MOLT about obtaining decorations, advertising material and fun take-home items for flofilm viewers.
